The close proximity is unsettling, yet she doesn’t dare to back down, only keep herself as she previously was. As much as she find somewhere to place this one & keep him away from other beings, there’s the rising idea that perhaps displaying any sort of power around him would be TROUBLE.

    “You can’t hear a scream in the middle of the universe.”

A rather empty threat, but one made nonetheless, form tense in her seat.

     “Not unless you put it and yourself ) in a box.”

           “  –––––– a BIG box. ”

He reasons with the unreasonable, arms thrown open, palms up, measuring a large empty space in the air — drawing an alarming amount of side eyes their way ( of which he is either unaware of OR lacks the capacity to care )

    “Shh… ” he speaks in hushed tones. “They’re watching.” 

He relents, and rests an elbow on the table, chin cupped in his own hand, and fingers thrum absently along his cheek. The other hand finds his coffee mug, and nears the rim to his lips, taking a cautionary sip out of the hot beverage. His eyes find hers, and he tilts his head with a raised brow. He had been rather hoping to unnerve her with his previous display. But the stranger held her ground well. He chuckles, and licks his lips in a silent sign of hunger. 

    “The universe. What do you know about the universe?”
